Terrazzo

Terrazzo is a hard, decorative surface material formed by embedding chips of marble, glass, or other aggregates in a cementitious or epoxy binder, then polishing to a smooth finish. It is widely used on floors and countertops for a speckled, mosaic-like appearance. The term also refers to the technique of creating such surfaces. In architecture and interior design, terrazzo conveys durability and visual texture.
