Stratosphere

Stratosphere is the second major layer of Earth’s atmosphere, lying above the troposphere and below the mesosphere, characterized by a stable, stratified temperature profile. It extends roughly from 10 to 50 kilometers (6 to 31 miles) above the surface. The term emphasizes a distinct atmospheric zone where industrial stratospheric phenomena, like ozone concentration, occur.
