Scapulae

Scapulae is the plural of scapula, the shoulder blade bones. In anatomy, it refers to the two shoulder blades, each a flat, triangular bone forming part of the shoulder girdle. The term is used in medical and educational contexts and is pronounced with two syllables, emphasis on the first: SCAP-u-lae.
