Holoprosencephaly is a congenital brain malformation resulting from incomplete division of the forebrain (prosencephalon) into distinct hemispheres. It presents with a spectrum of facial anomalies and varying degrees of neural impairment. In severe cases, the brain remains a single ventricle structure, affecting cognitive and motor development.
